Live Weather Update

If you are planning a trip along the Tasman coast, you can get an immediate update of weather conditions in the northern part of Tasman Bay with a webcam now installed at Meadowbank Homestead, Wilsons Abel Tasmans beachfront lodge at Awaroa.

Drop into www.AbelTasman.co.nz/webcams
to get a shot of what is happening now, looking out from the garden of the Lodge. The image is updated every 10 minutes, and can be enlarged to get an idea of sea conditions on the bar at the entrance to Awaroa inlet.

There is also a 24-hour montage that shows the weather and tidal movements in the bay over the previous day. This is a fascinating image if you are unused to the tidal range experienced on the National Park coast (up to 5 metres).
