Explore the protected beaches and spectacular granite sculptures of the Southern coast, then travel into the National Park for an enchanting forest walk. View seals as the Vista Cruise pauses at Tonga Island.
- Easy Guided Sea kayak: 2 hours paddling
- Two boat transfers, total 2 hours
- Seal viewing: Tonga Island Marine Reserve
- Walk through native forest between the golden beaches of Onetahuti and Bark Bay (7 km)

Detailed Itinerary
- Coach or drive to Kaiteriteri and check in at our Kaiteriteri Ticket Office by 9.30 am to join our guided Split Apple Rock kayak trip.
- Your guide will introduce you to safe paddling techniques and settle you into a stable double kayak. Then, it's onto the water to explore & have fun!
- Paddling north, this relaxing trip explores the fascinating coves and natural features of the stunning Kaiteriteri coastline, including the famous "Split Apple Rock".
- Stop on a golden beach for a short break before heading back to Kaiteriteri.
- Return around midday to swap kayak for walking shoes.
- Farewell your guide and join our 1.00 pm Vista Cruise to the golden sands of Onetahuti, visiting the fascinating seal colony at Tonga Island on the way.
- Disembark at 2.00pm and enjoy a 1 1/2 hour walk (unguided) to beautiful Bark Bay.
- 4.45 pm: Rejoin the Vista Cruise at Medlands Beach to return to Kaiteriteri at 5.45 pm where your coach or car awaits.

What To Bring
We Provide:
Skilled friendly guides and top quality kayaking equipment including spray jacket, bouyancy vest and dry bags for clothing and camera.
You provide:
Towel, hat, sunscreen, warm top (plus polypropylene thermals if you have them), swimsuit, change of clothes, walking shoes.
Lunch: Bring your own or order a scrumptious Picnic Lunch the day before you travel with us.
