Our state-of-the-art catamaran, the Abel Tasman Voyager, offers much more than a water taxi for the same price, departing daily year-round to provide scenic cruises of the Abel Tasman coastline.
Our smaller Vigour water taxis are available for special charter.
The Abel Tasman Voyager is a state of the art displacement catamaran. She was specially designed by Wilsons to minimise effects on the national park environment as well as to land passengers on the Abel Tasman beaches, which have the largest tidal range in the country.
With capacity for 140 passengers, the style, comfort and speed of the Abel Tasman Voyager has impressed everyone who sails on her. Panoramic views from the upper open deck and comfortable enclosed lower deck and bar means you will have the best experience in the National Park with Wilsons Abel Tasman.
The speed of Abel Tasman Voyager allows new timetables and day trip itineraries so visitors can enjoy an enhanced scenic cruise, with more time during the day for walking or sea kayaking options if desired. The special design also provides strength and stability with reduced weight and wash, resulting in better fuel economy and environmental impact. Passengers notice the quiet, comfortable ride provided by the noise absorption, strength and stability of the composite hull.
Designed and built in New Zealand, the planning, development and building of Abel Tasman Voyager is quite a story. Read all about it at State-of-the-art Catamaran for Abel Tasman National Park.
With 3 Vista Cruise sailings per day, morning and afternoon (8 October to 18 April), our day trip itineraries are designed so you can travel in with speed and style on the Abel Tasman Voyager, allowing plenty of extra time in the Park, or explore other attraction in the Nelson region.
Reduced timetables operate 19 April through to 19 October.
