Independent Hikers Specials

Pay no more than a water taxi fare to travel into Abel Tasman National Park in style and comfort aboard the Vista Cruise.

Whether you have only one day to see the Park, or can take time to relax and enjoy this spectacular golden coast over several days, there is something here for everyone.

One Day Park Walk

If you only have one day. Take Abel Tasman Coachlines to Marahau and walk along the well-formed coastal track to Anchorage. It takes about 4 hours to walk the 11 kms (6.8 miles) of track, through sunny groves of Manuka framing panoramic views across Tasman Bay towards Nelson. Allow extra time to take side tracks down to golden-sand beaches overlooking the islands in the Astrolabe Roadstead.

At Anchorage, relax on the long stretches of golden sand or explore tracks around the bay, including Cleopatra's Pool and Te Pukatea Bay.

At 3.20 or 5.00 pm, board the Vista Cruise at Anchorage to cruise the Astrolabe Roadstead back to Kaiteriteri in time to catch connecting coaches at 4.00 or 5.30 pm. Times may vary seasonally - please confirm when booking.
