Full Day Kayak Trip Plus Walking Options

Beaches, Bays & Seals

  • Cruise into the heart of the park at Torrent Bay

  • Total 2.5 hours kayak paddling with a break for lunch on a golden beach.
  • Time for a walk around the Torrent Bay tidal lagoon (2 hours) during the longer daylight hours of summer (20 October to 31 March)

Half Day Kayak Trips Plus Walking Options

SPLIT APPLE PADDLE – morning or afternoon

  • Less than 2 hours kayak paddling,
  • Explore the spectacular Kaiteriteri coast to to see famous Split Apple Rock formation.

Add a walking option: (Available during the longer daylight hours of Summer)
See seals from the boat on Tonga Island and/or Adele Island

ADELE ISLAND BIRDSONG & SEALS - morning recommended

  • More to see with less paddling effort (2 hours) than a full day trip.
  • See seals from your kayak
  • Listen to the birdsong from Adele Island wildlife reserve

Add a walking option:

  • Adele Island, Beaches & Walk- 20 minute boat cruise to Anchorage Beach for optional relaxing and walking.
    Available  1 October - 30 April.
  • Adele Island, Seals & Walk - cruise into Tonga Island Marine Reserve (1 hour). Walk Tonga Quarry to Medlands Beach (2 hours).
    Available 20 Oct - 31 March.

Half-day kayaking allows time to enjoy the cafes, golden beaches and forest around Kaiteriteri

Do you want to view seals from your kayak?
A short Vista Cruise boat transfer is required to travel into the National Park where seal colonies are established on islands off the coast. Vista Cruise return to Kaiteriteri is included.
