Finest Coastal Guided Walk in New Zealand
New Zealand Great Walk Abel Tasman National Park
basks under the highest number of sunshine hours in the country, year-round.
The Abel Tasman Coast Track is New Zealand's most relaxing Great Walk. It offers bush and beach walking on a well formed track, mostly shaded by native forest. Weaving between long, golden-sand beaches, there are some gentle climbs between bays with no point higher than 200 metres (650 ft).
A guided walk with Wilsons Abel Tasman includes Vista Cruise back-up so you choose how much walking you would like each day. Maximum walking distance in one day is 16 km (10 miles) and this can be made shorter or longer to suit you.
Three-day trips stay one night at each Beachfront Lodge: Meadowbank Homestead - Awaroa and Torrent Bay Lodge. Five-day trips stay two nights at each Lodge with time to explore further into the Park, and see regions that many visitors don't get to see. Or you can spend the extra time discovering the art of relaxation in the Lodge gardens by the sea.
You can choose to include a kayaking option for the full experience of the wondrous granite coast. Our Kayak & Walk Breaks operate at the same time as our Walking Breaks. If you are travelling in a group, some of you can choose the walking option and others can choose to include kayaking.
