From Nelson and Motueka
Nelson is the closest airport to Abel Tasman National Park. All of our trips can start and finish in Nelson with coach connections to Motueka and Kaiteriteri.

There are no scheduled water taxi transfers from Nelson to Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman National Park. The drive through coastal vineyards and orchards is more scenic and less weather dependent.
Driving Times and Distance
Nelson to Motueka = 50 minutes (47 kms, 3 miles)
Motueka to Kaiteriteri = 20 minutes (16 kms, 10 miles)
From Nelson: Follow Highway 6 south to Richmond. Stay on the highway through the traffic lights at Richmond. At the roundabout (traffic circle) after the lights, take the exit to Motueka (Highway 60). Continue along Hwy 60 for approx 40 kms (25 miles) to a roundabout (traffic circle) at the entrance to Motueka township. Take the second exit into High St.
At Motueka: Our office is located across the road from the clock tower and petrol station located at the High St-Old Wharf Road intersection. Park on the street beside our office. Pick up day trip tickets here to avoid the check-in queue at Kaiteriteri. We will direct you to suitable overnight parking if you require.
Wilsons Abel Tasman Ticket Booth, Kaiteriteri
From Motueka, continue along High Street (Hwy 60) out of town for approximately 8 kms (5 miles). The highway contains several junctions but stick to the main road as it crosses the Motueka River (long, narrow 2-lane bridge), veers right through Riwaka and then crosses the Riwaka River Bridge. Two hundred metres past Riwaka Bridge, turn right off the highway, signposted to Abel Tasman National Park via Kaiteriteri and Marahau. Continue for 6 kms to Kaiteriteri.
At Kaiteriteri: Park in the main car park across the road from the beach. Walk towards the Shoreline Cafe and look for our Sea Fern logo on our ticket booth beside the cafe.
