First company in the National Park to be awarded Qualmark Enviro Gold

Our committment to preserving the National Park for future generations has been recognised in our latest Qualmark audit.

To earn tourism’s official environmental award, Wilsons Abel Tasman has to demonstrate effectiveness in energy efficiency, waste management and water conservation, with community activities and conservation initiatives also considered under Qualmark’s environmental criteria.

Darryl Wilson says “We were determined to demonstrate and be recognised for our commitment to reducing both social and environmental impacts on the environment and local communities, researching and introducing our Vista catamaran, new day trip options and leading edge technologies to achieve this.”

Qualmark General Manager, Tim Keeling, says “We applaud every Qualmark licence holder who takes up the challenge to support sustainable tourism practices and good environmental management, through the Enviro awards”.
