Abel Tasman Beachfront Lodges

Imagine waking to waves & birdsong...

Hosting guests at two private lodges within a New Zealand national park is a rare and special privilege, for which we can thank our forebears who first came to this remote and beautiful corner of Aotearoa. Both Torrent Bay Lodge and Meadowbank Homestead at Awaroa have their own special stories to tell.

With no need to travel out of the park for home comforts, experience the tranquillity of the National Park after most visitors have left for the day. There is no road access so let us take care of the details for your unique journey to reach our lodges.

Expert hosts help plan your ideal day, and take care of your safety, adding to your connection with this special place. Discover a landscape full of stories with time on your own, or connecting with like-minded travellers.

Accommodation availability is limited, so we operate on a schedule based around 3 and 5 day holidays. You can choose to join walkers or guided kayakers, or simply relax on the beach and take a Vista Cruise to the lodge. Minimum 2 night stay during the busy summer season (December to March).

Three day trips stay one night at each lodge. Five day trips stay two nights at each lodge so you can explore parts of the park many visitors don't get to see, or take the time to unwind.
