Environmental Access Fee (EAF)

When you travel with us, part of your fare is invested back into the Abel Tasman National Park through the Environmental Access Fee (EAF). This fee includes:

  • Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman Foreshore Fee: compulsory fees for beach access to maintain amenities and support environmental protection projects.
  • Abel Tasman Birdsong Trust: our voluntary contribution to the local environmental charitable trust that we helped to established in 2007.

The Environmental Access Fee ($5-10 per adult) will be shown in the booking calculation for all Day Trip return journeys. The fee is included in our multiday lodge-based trips, and one-way boat fares.
