Environmental Access Fee (EAF)
From 1 October 2022, when you travel with us, part of your fare is invested back into the Abel Tasman National Park through the Environmental Access Fee (EAF). This fee includes:
- Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman Foreshore Fee: compulsory fees for beach access to maintain amenities and support environmental protection projects.
- Abel Tasman Birdsong Trust: our voluntary contribution to the local environmental charitable trust that we helped to established in 2007.
The Environmental Access Fee ($5-10 per adult) will be shown in the booking calculation for all Day Trip return journeys. The fee is included in our multiday lodge-based trips, and one-way boat fares.
