Location: Motueka Head Office and Kaiteriteri Booking Office
Season: Full-time and part time roles, fixed-term from late August 2026 until March or April 2027 (depending on visitor demand)
Weekends/Public Holiday work is required

About the Role

Supported by established systems and an experienced team, our Reservations Consultants are at the heart of the guest journey. From handling enquiries and booking boat trips, day trips, kayaking adventures, and multi-day tours to providing accurate information on walking times, track options, tides, and transport connections, you'll help guests confidently plan their Abel Tasman experience. By sharing expert knowledge of the region and tailoring recommendations to individual needs, you'll create seamless and memorable experiences in one of New Zealand's most spectacular natural destinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest enquiries via phone, email, live chat, and online booking platforms in a professional and timely manner.

  • Assist guests in planning and booking boat transfers, kayaking experiences, and day walks.

  • Provide accurate information on walking times, track conditions, tides, transport schedules, and activity suitability.

  • Tailor recommendations to guests' interests, abilities, timeframes, and travel requirements.

  • Process reservations, amendments, cancellations, and payments using reservation and booking systems.

  • Maintain accurate booking records and ensure all guest information is entered correctly.

  • Stay up to date with products, services, pricing, schedules, and operational procedures.

  • Resolve guest concerns and booking issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Maintain a high standard of product knowledge about the Abel Tasman region and surrounding attractions.

  • Ensure all communications reflect the company's commitment to exceptional customer service and hospitality.  

  • Assist with administrative tasks, and seasonal operational support as required.

  • Enthusiastic about outdoor recreation, tourism, and sharing knowledge of the Abel Tasman region.
