We’re looking for a multi-talented person with good housekeeping skills and cooking support to assist with hosting guests at our beachfront lodges: Torrent Bay Lodge and Meadowbank Homestead at Awaroa.

Attitude is everything! We provide full training for all aspects of the position so you can join our team of professionals, dedicated to creating the dream holiday for visitors in the spectacular Abel Tasman National Park.

Our lodges are within the boundaries of the National Park so there is no road access. Lodge supplies are delivered by boat. Each lodge has 14 twin/double ensuite guest rooms plus staff quarters.

You will live in the National Park four nights per week on a rolling roster, including weekends and public holidays. Your accommodation and all meals are provided at lodges.

Position Description:
  • Provide a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Host visitors with a wide range of nationalities, ages and abilities.
  • Support cook with daily meal service.
  • Co-ordinate and work with your teammates: Lodge Manger, Lodge Assistant, Housekeeper, Reservations team (based in Motueka), Boat crew and Guides.
  • In addition to housekeeping, you will assist the cook with meal service. Each day deliveries will arrive which yourself and the cook will collect with the quad bike or tractor.
Housekeeper/cook support minimum requirements:
  • Previous experience housekeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards.
  • Driver’s licence.
  • Work visa valid to end May 2025.
  • Due to nature of the role a minimum fitness is required.
Housekeeper/Cook Support minimum competency

Includes but is not limited to:

  • Bar and host responsibility.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Basic experience in handling food.

The position is full time for a fixed term commencing between September/October and running to early May 2025. We are also looking for a cook/housekeeper support so these positions could suit a couple.
